Davis Farmer’s Market — The Davis Farmer’s Market is a popular attraction with booths with produce, poultry, meats, cheeses, plants, etc. Some stands take apple pay, all take cash, and some accept venmo. HOURS: 8 am-1pm on Saturdays, 4-8 on Wednesdays for Picnic in the Park

UC Davis Arboretum — The UC Davis arboretum is a large public garden with multiple trails to explore. It is home to multiple collections of plants from different regions worldwide. Open 24 hours a day and free of charge (parking is $15 on weekdays and free on weekends)

Manetti-Shrem Museum — On campus art museum located directly across from the UC Davis Conference Center, Rotating exhibits by season, free admission; HOURS: Thursday, Friday & Monday: 11 a.m.–6 p.m. ; Saturday & Sunday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

 

THINGS TO DO IN SACRAMENTO:

Kid friendly:

Fairytale Town — Located next to the Sacramento Zoo, this theme park is based on classic fairy tales. There is a wide range of storybook themed attractions for kids to enjoy. (Tickets are $8. Reservations required)

Sacramento Zoo — The Sacramento Zoo is home to over 100 different species. Along with animals, there are also attractions such as a carousel and a train. (Ticket prices vary by day but are usually in the low $20s.)

For all:

California Railroad Museum — The California Railroad Museum looks into the history of trains in CA. It has exhibits including trains that are over 100 years old. (Adults: $12, Youth (6-17): $6, 5 and under: free)

Crocker Art Museum — This art museum has a wide range of galleries for all to enjoy. (Adults: $15, College/Military/Seniors: $10, Youth: $8, 5 and under: free)

 

TO DO IN SAN FRANCISCO:

The Exploratorium — Science museum with many interactive exhibits for people of all ages to enjoy. (Adults: $39.95, Youth/Teachers/Students/Military/Disabled Access: $29.95)

Japanese Tea Garden — Take a walking tour through gardens with Japanese architecture and landscaping as well as a traditional Japanese tea house. (Adults: $15, Seniors/Youth(12-17):$7, Kids(5-11):$3, kids 4 and under: free)
